obviously I love all my oc's but I'm so pleased with how people have embraced max because they're a really complicated character and sometimes I struggle to write them!
like when you first meet them they're deep in grief mode and as part 1 unfolds they fall deeper into that, but it's important to me that there's always a sense of something bubbling underneath with them.
one of my references for them (and for lena tbh) is that one watchmen quote that's like 'i'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me!' so take from that what u will
