she was very much prepared to get executed after she was caught, so much so that her eyes had been screwed shut in complete fear as she was pushed into a room  —  dripping seawater in her wake. shaky legs took a few steps before finally chancing a peek through an eye. other people! “aya! oh my god— you’re here!” @arayamahidol​

“i know it’s a bad idea... but i kind of want to do the bull run thing— i’m not gonna actually do it! but i feel like i can outrun that thing.” ( @arayamahidol​ )

“oh shit— that’s a cute outfit.” ireti, in her fuzzy slippers and glasses, stepped aside to let her friend in her house. “is jelani and aurel throwing another party?”  ( @arayamahidol​ ) 

“soooo...” she dragged out, raising an eyebrow at her friend. “what could he have possibly said to your mom that made you okay with him moving in?” ( @arayamahidol​ )

“aya— what if we watch a really bad movie, huh? it’ll take your mind off things! we wouldn’t even have to rent out the entire theatre for morbius, it’ll already be empty.” she paused, trying to her best to wrench out some fun tidbits about the film she heard — only to realise she knew next to nothing about the film that didn’t come from twitter memes. “adria arjona is in it!”  ( @arayamahidol​ ) 

“oh my god... did you go on a date? on v-day?! that’s like... big, right?” there was nothing she wanted more than to not think about her routine, just for one night! ( @arayamahidol​ ) 

“olympics this, olympics that.” everywhere she looked in tokyo were telltale signs of the ongoing events, her timeline was full of it. it invited many unwanted messages from those looking forwards to the winter olympics next year. “if you go on tinder right now you’ll match with 50 athletes, i’m telling you.” it doesn’t help that araya was easily out of anyone’s league, ireti made it her personal goal to make her friend forget about what had happened in belgium. a mindless night out might help, if only just a little. “or we could just go to one of these bars!”  ( @arayamahidol​ )
