k i saw that post abt mbti/enneagram and the knb boys and i rlly gotta ask.. what mbti do you think aomine is?? cuz some say estp some say entp and some say istp?? also everyone i know who knows mbti doesnt know knb so i dont have anyone to talk to;-;
Hi buddy!
I personally think that Aomine is an ENTP. I understand the confusion both with ESTP and ISTP, and yeah I can see it - it’s easy to call him a sensor for exceeding in sports, being really physical and seemingly in tune with his surroundings, but I don’t think his skills has anything to do with being a Se dom/aux. I believe him to be way more observant and ideology based than that (Se doms/auxes have a certain kind of shallowness to them, but Aomine can really easily slip up and get lost in thoughts, memories, feelings whatnot. You don’t really see an xSP get so deep like that). Also,,, he does vibe like an introvert at first, but trust me, I’ve known ENTPs and not all of extroverts yearn for crowds and big friend groups: they’re really just “stick with a few people but I gotta have them around all the time” with socializing. (Aomine only seems to like to hang with Momoi and Kuroko, so, rings a bell?)
Since I googled, there’s also a few people in sports with this type: Babe Ruth for example, former Celtics coach Red Auerbach, former Celtics center Bill Russel and so on and so forth. Some people call ENTPs ‘Debaters’ which......I think is one of the names in MBTI that truly fits a group. They get off on debates (which, heh, Aomine had a disagreement with just about anyone, and none of it was really just on a “you’re ugly and I don’t like you” level) and they crave the brain stimulation of indulging themselves in their hobbies (Aomine’s also one of the few characters in KnB who want to understand basketball as much as they want to play it. Like, he’s insanely observant and he’s also seen talking about the physics/logic of it).
I also think that inferior Si is at works in Aomine’s struggles. He feels like he messed up somewhere in the past, but he’s unable to process it, because he left the whole thing without ever even putting an end to it (cutting Kuroko off and forgetting how to have fun playing basketball), and he’s slowly making himself more and more depressed every day by not facing those problems. People describe Si grips by “not being satisfied by anything in the present” and “feeling trapped in one’s body” and “feeling like everything will be bad forever”.
This feels like a rant but I hope i could help you a little!
