Alyssa had it all worked out. She’d invited Gabe over to her place under the guise of helping her move her bed around. It was a lame excuse but when he’d agreed she gave up on anything else too in depth. Now they were sitting on her couch where she’d ushered him so they could talk before they got to it. She knew that he had a reputation before he was married. And the way he flirted with women at the bar made her think that maybe this could work. Suddenly there was a lull in the conversation and she knew that it was time. Her hand reached out to rest on his thigh, squeezing gently. “I have to confess that I don’t need my bed moved. I really asked you over here because I wanted to ask you something very important.” She smiled, almost as if she were shy. 

Alyssa knew that her man was expecting her but the thing he wouldn’t be expecting was to find her on his doorstep in nothing more than a large coat. Her hand reached up to rap at the door, waiting while clicking in her heels.

The small blonde giggled at the way he pulled her onto his chest with one quick motion. “You’re right. We’re both here.” Both hands slid up his chest to wrap around his neck. “Why did we wait so long to do this again?”

Alyssa was waiting in her car for Tatum to join her. As an alternative to a weekend away, the two had agreed to have a weekend in at her place. First on the list was to drag her friend away from her busy life. When she saw her friend come out of the building she honked the horn to catch her attention. “Over here, chick!” The small girl called out the window.
