are townspeople allowed to call council meetings if something going on in the town is bothering them?
Yes! But they can’t just show up in the center of town and demand a meeting. The process has a few steps, but is very simple and is as follows:
The citizen must write down his or her concerns or grievances
Once written down, the citizen must present the concern to three different council members and receive a signature from each.
After that, the three council members will present the written concerns to the rest of the Council in the form of a meeting that is open to the public to attend.
