Born to an old witch family in 1873, still a seer.

Met Asimatias (@militarytrash) as a teenager, grew curious of things outside of her restricted world her parents filtered down to her. At 13 she started learning the full extent of her powers, Sebastian realised that her gift as a seer would mean a shorter lifespan and didn’t tell her. 

Turned in 1895, aged 22. she had been trying to surpress her vision by drinking vampire blood, until she died with it in her system. Never connected with any of her family post biting and lived alone and on the move, initially moving to london and struggling to find blood for herself.

Enlisted as a nurse with the red cross, using it as a cover to get what she needed. Passed messages for Emil (@veinstate) and other resistance fighters who taught her a little more about her new life and the gifts that came with it

Met John (@militarytrash) after being caught drinking from a patient. Quickly started compelling him to keep her secrets but he was medically curious, and eventually developed a deep friendship. Talked once or twice about turning him, but never anything solid until he was caught up in the influenza outbreak. She bit him, taking away his choice and fled.

Moved to the US in 1918, leaving John behind. Initially started out in New York, moving to New Orleans shortly after. This is where things started to do downhill, her emotional state and uncontrollable bloodlust just taking over

Spent 1945-1975 drying out in a cabin in rural Colorado. Stuck it out until she was sure she could control her blood lust again.

Moved back to New York in 1976, working a supernatural/witch friendly bar. Tried to help people the best way she could, where she met Daisy/Rose/Freesia ( @reapxrs ) to help witches who no longer want to be part of the covens they came from. 

Arrived in Paris for a while in the 80′s spending time as a photographer, then Dublin in the 90′s working at gigs again before returning to London in 2001 and immediately getting ambushed by an angry John Watson. They both still need space apparently.

She was an immigrant child of Russian parents, swept over one border and the next to France for her own safety. The communist rule wasn’t kind to them, they had lost so much to suspicion an starvation that they couldn’t suffer any longer. By the time she was ten, Kaitya could speak seven languages fluently and had a knack for picking up even more. She was pretty, but her mind was sharper and after a while she caught the eye of the man her mother cleaned for in France, an editor to a French newspaper who needed help translating foreign letters from his sources. It was better money than the rest of her family could hope to earn, so she jumped at the chance to help him on his travels.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Thomas Ó Móráin struggled to find his feet. His family was catholic in a strong protestant part of the country, a family too stubborn to move and too proud to admit maybe it wasn’t safe. Thomas never felt aligned with either side of the Troubles, his thoughts were with the common people trying to live through the worst of the conflict. He and his father bred race horses and worked in the stables, feeling more at home amongst those on four legs. His father was stern, and proud, and ever so stubborn but he was never unkind. Not until Thomas wanted to marry outside the church.

He met the love of his life in a pub in the city, and somehow managed to win over not just her heart but her head. Love wasn’t something she could let herself feel easily, yet she knew he was serious wen he threw everything away and moved to England with her. He was sweet, and gentle even if his ideals left him busy and distracted with a higher cause. Within the first few years, she had three small mouths to feed and look after so her work had to take a back seat. She devoted herself to her children -- insisting they would have easier lives than her own but determined that they should never take their growing wealth and good fortune for granted. 

Needing to fill the gap his income had left, Thomas enlisted and spent seven years in the Household Cavalry, both at home in ceremonial service and abroad. It got them enough to get by whilst the first three were small, and then as another daughter followed he took an honourable discharge to return home. His purpose was hardened into him by his time in the army, and as soon as he gained his citizenship he stood for election.

He became a member of the shadow cabinet for a short time before his gift for talking people over got him the job of party whip, a better position to know the ins and outs of Westminster. But with more power came more ambition and pride, and he railed his children into thinking about the greater good above themselves. They needed to understand that they were fortunate, that this sheltered life meant they owed the people more.

Since falling out with his first son and the death of his youngest, Thomas has thrown himself into his work. He’s hardly home, and barely speaks to his wife. Their house fell silent after Sebastian left and now it is cold and unbearable. Kaitya grits her teeth and continues for she knows this isn’t the worst place to be stuck, but she hasn’t been happy since her children have grown and stopped speaking to her. The hardest part of this was that both of them only wanted what they thought was best for their you ones, and it seems to have backfired horribly. Thomas now has a position as party whip in the Lords after years of working for his political party, and Kaitya works editing book translations to fill her time.

Alex and Elliot are all out wrong for each other. He doesn’t understand her PTSD (her own fault because she has never gone to be diagnosed or asked for significant help with her issues) or her touching habits. He doesn’t understand that there’s parts of her life she wants to forget, and rather than leaving things behind he likes to drag them up and embarrass her. Alex and Elliot are electric together, they’re passion is at extremes of screaming at each other and two weeks of not talking to being practically inseparable.

Both similar, stubborn and used to living on their own terms for too long to compromise, it’s hard for them to find a middle ground. They’re a lot like the song Foundations by Kate Nash, and as Alex is too happy just not being alone to end it and Elliot is too into it to see how toxic they’re becoming it just becomes a dumb spiral of month make ups and break ups

IN THIN BLUE LINE (MAIN) Alex and Elliot are together for an 18ish month stretch after Genevieve is born even though Alex makes sure they never meet.

IN THIN BLUE LINE (WITH HAMISH AND ANNA) Alex was on and off sleeping with Elliot before her and Hamish became official. She never told him and Hamish has a sneaking suspicion but doesn’t want to know for sure.

IN GOT A BOYFRIEND ANYWAY (CHEATING AU) Alex and Elliot have been on and off for two years, but she refuses to leave him and after a long and drawn out resistance starts using Hamish for sex behind his back. They keep talking about trying to do better by each other but Alex is too selfish to stop. It only ends when Elliot breaks it off to propose to India.

IN SCOTLAND YARDERS (GROUP) After a few months of seeing Elliot and Hamish as a messy start, Alex is happily sort-of-engaged to Hamish and her ex thing has started sleeping with Anna. Safe to say none of the group are happy about this, but Alex and Elliot are on a weird frenemies kind of relationship now.

IN WHISTLES (MUSICIANS) Elliot is Alex’s ex-producer and writing partner. They have slept together a few times. She does not want to repeat it, hence in trying to avoid him has become her own producer. There’s a whole EP dedicated to how much of a dick he is, in the inner cover her disdain is pretty clear.
