if saul could change one thing about his life or rather give his younger self advice what would it be?

it's a difficult question, even saul himself doesnt know how to answer it. he would probably shrug it off but he would have liked to know his biological parents maybe, and he likes to believe they would be cool with him and accept him as he is. but giving himself advice? he doesn't know about that. he has always been self assured, he's never lacked in that front. he was raised headstrong and vocal. even when he discovered the gender aspect of his identity it didn't necessarily make him feel distress. he just thought that it made sense. and he wanted it. he didn't know there was a word for it, he just began to dress and behave in this particular way, and there was some teasing by peers, sure, but his family was very accepting of it. and i think this just has to do with the fact the reyes aren't human and the gender roles aren't aligned with human's. saul was perceived as a girl when he was young, but he was not raised to fit within a stereotypically feminine gender role. the girls in the reyes family are just as combative as the men if not more so, and his behavior just seemed par for the course. but like i said, then came puberty and the wardrobe and the mannerisms and at first he thought he was just likely gay, he had heard about butch lesbians and maybe that was it, but that didn't seem right. what i'm trying to say is, his family took things in stride, his mother (berenice reyes) had talks at length with him about how he felt about things, it was never a mystery to her that he was going through this. so he feels at this point in life like he did the best he could and he couldn't have done it better. he never took shit from anyone and never backed down. he would likely just reassure himself he's on the right path.

7. favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time

saul spends most of his spare time working out and training. when he isn’t doing that, he’s texting and annoying the shit out of his friends sending them memes, or scrolling through /r/boxing/ because he hates himself happens to be a very big professional boxing fan and likes to keep up with current events. occasionally he entertains himself via trolling in the subreddit, since he considers boxing fans and MMA fans some of the most easily aggravated people on the planet. other times (and through a different account) he opts instead to drop some genuine opinions about the fights. he may visit other subreddits as well. when he’s not doing that, he’s watching people on youtube or twitch. and when he’s not doing that, he’s clubbing with friends. sometimes he will indulge in shitty reality shows. he loves love island. lowkey, t*mmy fury is kinda cute, even if saul does not care for his brother. 

he doesn’t feel any particular strong way about meaningless entertainment, or low-brow entertainment. it’s there for a reason -- sometimes it’s good not to think heavily about things and just relax. that’s not wasting time, that’s just trying to keep yourself sane. 

36. what makes them feel guilty?

very little can make him feel guilty. usually it has to do with unintentionally hurting his mom or disappointing her -- his dad too, but while disappointing his dad makes him feel bad, disappointing his mom crushes him.

39. what recharges them when they’re feeling drained?

saul is constantly full of energy, so it’s hard to say what constitutes him feeling “drained”. as an extrovert, though, he’s say spending time with people he likes, people he’s close to, does wonders for his mood. saul doesn’t dig being alone.

47. if they were to fall in love, who (or what) is their ideal?

berenice reyes, the woman who wound up adopting him when he was a young pup, had known them personally and quite well. enough that cristóbal and omahyra bautista had appointed berenice as saul’s legal guardian in case of tragedy striking. and when that happened -- when they both died at the hands of hunters -- that is exactly what took place: saul, then a helpless two year old, went to live and grow up around the reyes family. 

and berenice told him plenty about his parents, always honest (thoughtfully so -- saul came to learn more as he grew older) about who his parents were and what happened to them. saul never wondered how they looked like because berenice had pictures, photo albums where he could practically witness the development of cristóbal and omahyra’s relationship, and their relationship with berenice and the reyes. he never wondered what they did for a living because berenice told him -- his mother made ends meet as seamstress and his father worked as a cobbler, and they owned a shop together in bushwick. beyond that, they were both more deeply entangled with the reyes’ more illicit activities as product distributors in the 80s. as it turns out, the bautistas were quite entangled with the reyes, an oddity as they were werewolves and normally, werewolves and werepumas never associated.

as a result of all of this, and berenice always having answers for saul’s young, curious mind -- saul never grew up with any complex regarding his status as an orphan. he never considered himself an orphan, feeling the word had a certain tone of victimhood he could never relate to. he keeps a lot of items his parents used to own. he keeps photographs, and jewelry and even his father’s music records. and sure enough, he’s wondered what things would be like if they were alive -- but he doesn’t dwell on it. and he considers berenice and emmanuel carlos his parents. he calls them mai and pai.
