BEFORE RACE WEEKEND my s/o and i typically show up to the country it's being held between 2-4 days prior to the actual first day. in my dr, at least, the riders HAVE TO BE in the country 42 hours prior to the pre-event day. there's quite literally no exceptions to that rule. for instance, if there's bad travel weather, you arrive earlier. you really have to be on top of your shit to get to race weekend on time. as long as the race is still on, you have to be there. we'd know at least a week prior if the race is cancelled or postponed with the thumbs up on when travel day should be to get to the country on time.

WHAT DO WE DO BEFORE THE WEEKEND? we like to travel around. sightseeing, go try restaurants, hang with other riders and their partners doing things such as minigolf, bowling, going to the beach, etc. also, that friday night for race weekend, the president of my s/o's team actually buys the whole team (riders, crew, etc) dinner. like a little pep thing to get us going for the next few days ahead.

ACTUAL RACE DAYS 🏁 FRI-SUN personally, in my dr, i don't attend friday's fp1-2. that day, i chillax in the hotel or airbnb we rented for the weekend. i do attend saturday but only in the afternoon for qualis and sprint. i do attend sunday, of course, for the actual race day.

AFTER RACE WEEKENDS it depends on other factors for what we do. after usgp, i know we actually are going to stay the remaining week at my parents house in georgia and then go back home, then prep for the next gp weekend. other times we stay 2 nights and 3 days and then go home. rest and then go on to the next.
