“Hello. It’s been a long time since I’ve wrote to you guys on here. Mostly I just put up pictures and go, I’ll be better about writing to you guys more.  But today I want to take the time out to talk to you guys about some things. When I was younger, my mom used to tell me that not every situation needed a reaction. It took me a long time to understand what she meant by that, and now as an adult, living my dream career, I fully understand that. Since 2009, like all other idols, I’ve lived under a magnifying glass of pure scrutiny. Everything I’ve ever done both before and after my success has been laid out and judged by people who don’t know me, nor care about my well being. And that isn’t me complaining, because I recognize fully that it comes with the job. I signed up for this, and despite the difficulties of it, I wouldn’t choose to live another life. Still, sometimes, all the negativity gets to you. Certain things get under your skin and won’t leave no matter what you try. I’ve got a reputation for being not so nice, but anyone who knows me will surely tell you that opposite. But even that hasn’t been enough for people. Despite the person people have tried to make me out to be, I’ve kept going. No matter how many nights it kept me up at night. It took me a long time to understand that I’ll never be able to make people love me, let alone ever like me, and furthermore even trying to get simple respect out of some people just isn’t realistic. And although, my entire reputation has been flipped on it’s head a million times, I never ran away from anything. I’ve taken everything thrown my way head on. I’ve watched a lot of people fold under the pressure and it’s very easy to drown in the negativity. And there’s been times when I was close, but I never gave up. And I won’t ever give up. I’ll always keep fighting. There are some people out here that you won’t be able to please no matter what you do. And I just want you all to know, that rather than waste your energy on them, just live the best life you can live. Everything doesn’t deserve a reaction, true, but in certain times, you have every right to defend yourself. But after you do, let it be done. Move on, and be better than everything trying to hold you back. Some people will be nasty to you until the day you die. Some people will always be ungrateful towards you, regardless of if you gave them the world or not. You can confront them once, maybe twice, but after that, do yourself a favor and treat them like they don’t exist. Trust me, you’ll be better for it.”
