Charlie is incredibly important in Vox’s hotel development, and probably the most significant relationship he builds there. For the first while, his only in fact, besides Baxter..
Charlie’s the one that finds his tablet ass head lost in the hall after being kidnapped, and is his first outreach of kindness in like weeks since the Vees have been angry and needing time and he’s mostly just left alone, to stew in his regrets and building suicidal feelings.
For a while she’s the only person that talks to him since no one at the hotel wants to give him a chance, when he even leaves his room at all. She kind of becomes his only tether there, and though he claims not to give a shit about any of this redemption shit, or talking about his feelings to anyone, he finds himself seeking her out. When you’ve got no one else, may as well trust the first person to show you care in so long, you’ve got literally nothing else to lose.
He can’t understand her kindness and claims not to give a shit about it (but deep down he’s grateful for only one to reach a hand out to him in darkness)
