As much as I like gk I have to consistently remind myself that the majority of the characters are imperial soldiers and a lot their problems stem from being imperial soldiers and that is not smth I can allow myself to start giving a fuck about. Especially sugi since half of his character drama is that he lost himself in the war but at the end of the day he did choose to join the army. Like I get they have their mentality and I will focus on it for the sake of character analysis. But. I can’t let that start making me sympathetic to actual imperial soldiers irl
