I feel like katydids have the most unknowable energy among insects. I can never tell what's going on in there. Could not guess at their moral alignment if you paid me

How do you guys deal with SniperSpy haters (Or any TF2 ship haters, at that)?  Like, mentally. (Or whatever way you want to talk about honestly). And I don’t mean “Casual players that have no idea what fandom is and just don’t like seeing men kiss” I mean the ones that are IN the fandom.  It’s just that I got a friend into TF2, and into the SniperSpy ship specifically (Because it’s my main one) and their biggest reason for enjoying the fandom so far, is the positivity, basically. They haven’t felt so welcomed in a multiplayer game before TF2 and even refrained from playing this genre in the past because of that. The same goes for the fandom, they haven’t experienced anything really toxic yet.  But I’ve seen some ship-hating here and there and am just worried that this might scare them away? So I just wanted to collect a bunch of advice that I could give them in the future, if need be.  But also I’m fragile and I can get hurt by people saying I’m wrong, even without elaboration. So hearing people with the same opinions is nice sometimes because it makes me stop feeling like I’m morally wrong for liking two fictional dudes so yaaaay.
