really in awe of your art!! how long does it take for you to do a fully rendered piece, e.g. your ember and ice paintings or your poolside hollanov piece? do you do it in one go or work on different pieces? i'm trying to work on longer, more painterly art instead of just sketches and you're a huge inspiration. (also, no pressure to reply but i'm curious if you draw full-time now?)
i try to take 2 days for each illustration where day 1 is the lineart + colours and the second day is the rendering. For short comics, I typically give myself three days - Day 1 and the first half of Day 2 for thumbnailing and lineart, then the second half of Day 2 and all of Day 3 for colours and rendering.
I'm bad at maintaining focus on a bunch of things at the same time, so I do have to complete one piece before working on another (besides commercial work, which I'm typically whittling away at in parallel).
Also, yes! I draw full-time and it's incredibly rewarding, and I'm very grateful.
