It was rare for the Queen of the gods to get away from Olympus but considering the week she had, she needed to, and so she did. Her blonde hair was done, free, as she stuck her toes into the water, letting the coolness of it relax her. Part of her was tired of the front she had put up, she just wanted a few moments to herself, a few moments to relax and not have to worry about her duties. Zeus be damned, she’d have it too. Just as she felt her shoulders slumped, she felt the presence of another. A scowl graced her lips until she felt the power that radiated from the other. 

Hera rubbed her temples, not thrilled with the latest issue that had come up on Olympus, nor was she thrilled with having to deal with it. The blonde barely noticed Hades walking into the study she had for herself in the Palace, barely noticed much of anything as she sipped on the sweet drink that a nymph had brought her. She looked up a moment later, hair falling out of the braid she had put it in earlier.

The queen looked up from the scroll she was scanning when her son walked in, not even giving her time to gather herself when he dropped the bomb that he had another child. She blinked, staring at him for a moment before she sat her scroll down and leaned forward.

"I'm sorry, what?" She asked, blue eyes watching her son carefully. "You have another child and he wants nothing to do with us or you?" Hera leaned back and tried to ignore the hurt and anger she felt. She loved every one of Ares' children but it hurt to know he wanted nothing to do with them.

“Some days.” The queen sighed, looking out over Mount Olympus with a heavy heart. “I wish I had never married Zeus.” It was a quiet admittance, one that she didn’t tell many people often but it was also one that she was ashamed of. She was the goddess of marriage but sometimes it felt like her own marriage was falling apart.
