🍆 Our muses exploring a farmer’s market
autumn’s here (accepting!)
"Tch, errands."
Veronica grumbles as she wanders the farmer's market, alone and bundled up in autumn clothes. Mitted hands stuff tightly in jacket pockets as the girl slinks up to a stall selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Miserably, she scans the boxes that line the counter, searching for "the best ones you can find, my darling dear" as Loki had told her.
They all looked the same to her. A carrot was a carrot, a squash was a squash; why she had to tediously scout out the "good ones" was beyond her. All at the cost of her precious time, too-- there were so many more productive things she could do aside from whatever the hell this was. She lets out a long sigh as she hovers over the produce.
"Why can't she just go here on her own? Or at least go with me? I don't know anything about this damn market... Why I ought to pop that woman’s little head off when next I see her--"
Veronica stops and glances over to her side. A green-haired girl stares at her, emerald eyes wide and curious with a spark of amusement hiding within, no doubt at the violent muttering she had so carelessly been spewing. In an effort to ease the tension, Veronica grabs the nearest vegetable she can grasp-- an eggplant-- and raises it to her eyes as though to examine it.
"Oh. Hello,” she greets with a nod, “I'm just… browsing the wares."
