yulhee canât help but laugh to herself at the sight as she steps into the cafeteria for a late lunch.Â
kim jongin fell asleep. what a surprise.
she shakes her head, quick steps leading to the table he shares with no one â but probably did before falling into one of his random deep slumbers. she meant to catch him earlier, give him a big hug and drag him along the kt halls like she did with yeri back in the day, but, as it turns out, mga contestants are highly valuable commodities in an entertainment company, and so jongin (and yuri) have been way too busy for her.
and while that has upset her throughout the morning lessons, now the rapper knows it was fateâs way of providing with some alone time for them.
she could wake him up. she could take his hand and pull him along to wherever she had to go, show him every piece of the building sheâs grown to love in the last year and a half⊠however, another idea suddenly sparked in her mind, one that, usually, would only come around if it was aron sleeping instead.
the rapper runs out to the lockers and pulls out her favorite glittery pen (pink, obviously). she rushes back and, ever so silently, ever so carefully, moves his head to one side so she has clear access to his forehead. a few quick strokes later and sheâs skipping away to another table, humming happily to herself.

jongin was never a light sleeper; not only is he capable of falling asleep anywhere and anytime, he falls into slumber like a rock. it takes some nudging to wake him up if he doesnât do it by himself, and although the stroke feeling provided from the pen was enough to start pulling him out of dreamland, it hadnât been enough to fully wake him up on the spot.
it takes a moment longer in which jongin scrunches up his nose a little, his brain urging him to go back to the world of the living but his eyes stubbornly wanting to stay closed just for a little while. his brain wins though, and so does the sunlight coming from the cafeteria windows because soon jongin is sitting back up, covering a yawn behind his hand and rubbing at his eyes. falling asleep as one of the newest kt trainees probably wasnât the best first impression he could give, but after barely getting any sleep due to honest excitement, the craving was too big and he had given in to a nap before he could stop himself.
thankfully it seemed that no one was really around to scold him besides the cafeteria lady who had been nice enough to let him sleep and jongin blinks as he looks around, finding the cafeteria surprisingly empty - apart from a figure sitting nearby. it took only a few seconds for jongin to recognise yulhee in this still half-asleep state of his, and for a moment he wondered if she had seen him already; it would be strange if she hadnât, but it was strange she didnât wake him up, either.
nevertheless heâs standing up from his seat (he swears he hears the cafeteria lady giggle over something though he doesnât really understand what, so he pays no mind to it) and walking over to the younger girl, smile growing on his lips. âi canât believe youâd just let me sleep my day away like this.â he laughs playfully, figuring that joking around would be a nice way to greet her; it had been a while since they had a proper chat.
