kim jaeshin (28), first born son of state councilor kim, head teacher at sungkyunkwan who focuses his area of study on the political philosophy of the Analects (in other words, the joseon equivalent of a pol sci class) 

literally the strong and silent type™ but isn’t some closet softie. sorry

but he’s chill to make up for it!! sticking his nose into someone’s personal drama really isn’t his thing, but he’s no mother teresa either. nonetheless, civil at face value. 

an intellectual to the core; strategy and political warfare is a yes. mind games? oh yeah buddy. swordfights and archery and whatever are cool too i guess

married and very much in love with his boo @haesaeyeon (even though it was like a betrothed from birth thing but like…in the long run it wasnt that big of a deal) 

otherwise very independent, doesn’t go out of his way to be super buddy buddy with anyone; this reflects in his relationship with his parents: he respects them, but has never idolized them/felt pressure from their end..though that’s mainly because he’s grown up with certain goals and aspirations in mind for himself

in his eyes having power = acquiring stability, which is ideal when things are so prone to change and turbulence; the more of it you have, the more likely you’ll be able to stay afloat. so it’s a security thing for him, rather than the whole basking in glory shebang
