      There weren’t that many places open so late. Sometimes, she stopped in just to relax for a half hour or to trail someone suspicious. Sometimes she ended up getting caught up in something, like now. She noticed a redhead getting bothered by some guy. Even from this angle she could tell that much and judging by the guy’s look he wasn’t going away any time soon.

      Sam sided up on the redhead’s other side, getting as close as she could without actually touching her. “Hey, sweetie,” she smiled at her warmly, “thanks for waiting for me.”

Narrowing her eyes, the vampire put the book aside, looking up at the hunter. “What did you do?” She repeated, more sternly this time, watching Sam’s movements.

    She crossed her arms, but it hardly mattered as one hand lifted out and began making gestures as she talked. “Well, someone felt like I wasn’t doing my job properly,” she muttered the next bit a tad bitterly, “even though no soul’s died since we got here.” 

    Sam couldn’t help smiling at that, even despite what had just happened.

   There is a difference between a curious glance and a scornful look. One such difference is that only one of them automatically elicits a response from Sam when it’s directed at her or anybody she’s with.

   So when such a look was directed at her and Lex whilst walking she inquired what the gentleman was looking at them for. This inquiry may not have been phrased as politely. It may also have been accompanied with a confrontational step in their direction.

   Now, they were on the other side of town because of the escalation of that situation. Some choice words from Sam may or may not be to blame for said escalation.

Sam’s singing and horrible extremeley impressive air guitaring come to a faltering stop as the anon veers off course. 

She looks over at them, an unreadable expression on her face. Meanwhile her left hand is still out in the air beside her, holding onto the imaginary guitar. For a solid moment she’s just standing there, looking at them, and doing nothing.

Eventually, she lowers the hand that was ‘holding’ the air guitar. "I thought we were jamming!” She said sounding a tad betrayed considering the situation. She hadn’t known what would happen though.

“THAT I’M A LIGHT SPEED DISTRACTION”

She sang loudly in time with them, rather loudly for what is originally not that hard a line in the song.

Sam’s furled brow immediately shoots up and her face lights up as she recognizes the song. A single hand comes up in front of, curled up into a fist.
