matthew's favorite thing about alex (if he had to pick one) would be her strength. he admires and respects her physical strength as a fighter and her mental strength as a person overall. he also just loves a woman who could kick his ass.
alex's favorite thing about matthew is his whimsy!! he has a knack for making her laugh and smile. matthew just has a joyous and silly attitude and way of life that she loves. she knows she can always turn to him when she needs to take life less seriously.

the emoviolences just fit together in the best way!!! they share enough similarities to bond over and have enough differences to learn about each other. my selfship w matthew is my vision of my most ideal romantic relationship: a loving and respectful bond with a fun partner who i can relate to and rely on.

not yet!! i usually focus on the dating/pre-marriage stage of the emoviolence lore, which is in the late 2000s. alex and matthew get married in 2011, many years after the events of scott pilgrim. in every timeline, i imagine they have an indian and a filipino-american wedding. two of them !!! i have yet to draw what they look like, but the former would follow gujarati hindu customs and the latter would have a 19th-century philippines theme but with a gothic twist (all black!). both full of artistry and drama, just how they'd like it.

7. is there anything that your f/o and s/i have completely differing opinions on?
the only thing i can really think of is when violence is necessary. this is funny given that i'm the Violence in emoviolence but that's only in terms of music taste lmao (i'm more into metal than matthew is). matthew has a much shorter temper and is used to solving problems w his fists and mystical powers when he feels like it's necessary. i'm less confrontational :'3
15. when talking about your selfship, what stage of the relationship do you generally gravitate towards? (pre-relationship, early into the relationship, dating, married, etc.)
usually the dating stage! the emoviolence lore is a friends to lovers slowburn but i almost always just think about the dating stage. i just need to kiss that emo!!!
marriage does happen btw. it just happens p far into the future !
