do you read books? You seem like you do, but if you dont. Well take it as a compliment-But if you do read books what are you're favortie one read so far and ones you want to read next or in the near future?
I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump recently. I have been trying to read 1984 by George Orwell on my phone but I want to finish it and then reread it again so I can absorb the metaphors and everything. I feel like it’s one I definitely should have read by now and after I finish it hopefully I can find Fahrenheit 451 in my local library because reading on my phone makes it just so easy to spend a lot of time doing nothing on my phone yk?
In terms of nonfiction I want to finish “The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat” and I forgot the name of the author but like if it’s a good book like idc who wrote it. I want to read it to put it for UCAS applications, which I keep procrastinating.
That’s my current reads which are quite nice, even though I feel like a iPad kid with two books going in at the same time. Because I’m on iOS, I just typed in “free” to Apple Books and on there was Dream Psychology by the sigma Sigmund Freud. I want to finish Cousin Kate even though she kinda pisses me off because why is she 27 and fooling round with her brother in law who’s just turned 17? To be honest I’ve not read all of it so I might be overgeneralising but I line to clutch my pearls reading it as it’s set in like the 1900s
Oooh. And Let the Right One In which I found AT SCHOOL and is about gay vampire pedophiles and is very graphic about the pedophile bit but I think that is better than me buying Lolita as it would kinda look like I’m using it as a manual and not like to read it to feel grossed out. I also need to read Twilight. I cannot believe I’ve never for round to it. They’re are loads of “classics” I haven’t read like the LoTR series and lots of other things so there are so many books I need to catch up on.
It’s so hard to find a favourite book. I think my favourite is the one I’ve last read only beciase the atmosphere and the world is still fresh in my mind but I like thrillers. Can’t name any now to save my life but the YA ones by Karen M. McManus I can never put down. I used to be obsessed with the Shapeshifter books (middle grade but sometimes they’re heart wrenching) by Ali Sparkes when I was 10/11. I even debated helping to run the Wiki that’s how dedicated I am to the fandom.
I have had a little bit of a nonfiction sprint recently which is very unlike me but I really enjoyed The Psychopath Test by Jon Ronson. It isn’t boring despite it being nonfiction which I was really worried about and he made me laugh when I was in bed with the little light on. :)
Also yes most asks are this serious, most DM’s are this serious.
