Isolating yourself from other people was something Raven had grown to live by. It was better this way; she couldn’t hurt other people, and they couldn’t hurt her. That’s what she thought was best, at least until she was shown just how cowardly such a belief was. And she was a coward--Yang was right, and it hurt just to see just how wrong Raven had been. But despite it all, she still kept her distance. It was better for everyone that way...right?
She knew Yang and her friends left for Atlas to get the relic there. The Branwen Clan didn’t need to remain closely connected to the outside world, but having basic knowledge of what was going on would be beneficial. That was how she learned about the situation in Atlas. She didn’t think when she took off to the northern kingdom, only acted. That’s what Yang would do, right? And Yang was better than her in every way. So, she flew all the way to that kingdom, only to find everything destroyed. Atlas was gone... Mantle was gone. And Raven didn’t know how to look for her daughter and her friends.
She walked alone through the snow, red hues looking around for any sign of people. This place... It seemed so deserted. She hadn’t found a single person still alive since the moment she got here. Until... Raven could make out a figure in the distance, too far to tell who it was. She knew the chances were close to zero, but even still... For once in nineteen years, she felt the need to help her daughter. “Who are you?” she called out to the figure. Her mask remained on her hip, Raven doubting anyone would recognize who she truly was. She walked towards the figure in the snow.
