Always the evil one aren’t ya, Bowser? Or that’s what he thinks is going on here.

It’s very clear that ex-king, has once again, landed into another world, a world... where he and Mario are opposites to eachother, and their life overall are flipped and switch around a bunch. 

Other words; In this world, he’s the bad bad man, and Mario is goody-two shoes hero of the Mushroom Kingdom.

This... doesn’t really surprise Bowser at all. He had been in these kind of solutions like... what? Five times? Six? Ten? Ugh, he lost count.

He had met another evil versions of himself. And now? He’s meeting another Peach, a Peach, in this life, were never actually considered as ‘friends.’ 

And with Bowser knowing the basics of all this: This world’s version of himself had kidnapped her many times, and this world’s Mario had saved the princess many times and had beaten the tyrant King of the Koopa many times as well.

Again, he’s not really surprise by all this. 

By the looks of Peach’s defensive stance, she assume of another kidnapping by Bowser. But, the ex-king has no desire to harm her and kidnap her. Why? Because he isn’t the same Bowser here.

He gently held his hand up in defense for himself as well. Not only to surrender himself(something that took to swell his pride), but  to also shown that he has no means to assault her at all.

“Whoawhoa, hold on there, Princess!” He said quickly. “I’m not here to hurt you, or do any of that kind of stuff! I have no intention doing on that, and if you just chill for a second, and let me explain myself: Because what you’re looking at right now? Is not what it seems. I’m not Bowser you know.”

And if anything? He will always blame the Warp Pipes.
