gives the lovely daughter a kiss on the forehead and some ginger cookies~
“Mother these are delicious,” happily consuming the baked goods as if she were a child again. She found such simple gestures to be the most important; things like cookies and gentle kisses from her mother were absent and sorely missed in the future she hailed from. So she finds herself momentarily transfixed in a longing gaze, merely taking in this moment of utter peace, though short lived she treasured it regardless. Perhaps her mother would never quite know what it meant to her as she would not voice such things to not disrupt the serenity that surrounded days like these. “Perhaps you can show me how you made them, I’m afraid I’ve never been able to cook very well,” although she has tried it had only ever ended in disaster or her friends attempting to swallow the food she made out of politeness; they couldn’t afford to be picky after all. Honestly she would like to learn how to bake decently, but truthfully she just wanted to spend more time with her family as she knew this could not last forever.
