What did one wear one a date? Jaehyuk ran a hand through his already messy hair as he stressed over his choices for the evening. After nearly twenty minutes of staring at his small closet the human decided on a simple pair of black jeans with rips in the knees matched with a pale blue button up with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows to show off his arms.  It wasn’t much because he didn’t have clothes that were name brand or fashionable. His schooling and housing came first in his list of priorities so it had at least been two years or so since Jae last went clothes shopping. A phone chime dragged the student’s attention away from his mirror reflection to the alarm clock next to his bed. Seonghwa’s driver was right on time to pick him up and escort him to the penthouse the vampire occupied. The date wouldn’t be there but at some surprise restaurant which had him beyond nervous. If Jae was being honest with himself, a date with Seonghwa had him beyond nervous. The pure blood was completely out of the human’s league in every sense. Outside of ridiculous physical chemistry, the pair had seemingly nothing in common. Granted, that was the point of this little outing to spend time talking about themselves over a hot meal instead of devolving straight into sex. Jae wanted to know Seonghwa on a personal level, he wanted to see if the chemistry between them could be more.

After grabbing his phone, the human locked up his apartment and bolted down the stairs - too jittery to wait on the elevator - and waved at the same driver who had dropped him off after his first encounter at Seonghwa’s company. The memory of being trapped in an elevator brought a warm blush to his face as they said their hellos and departed to pick up the vampire. Driving through Seoul at night gave Jae plenty of distraction as the car weaved through traffic until it pulled up to an unfamiliar building with an exceedingly familiar vampire waiting outside. The human’s jaw dropped at the sight of Seonghwa and that warm blush on his cheeks came roaring back as the door was opened and the vampire entered the car to sit next to him. 

“Hi,” Jae breathed, still looking extremely overwhelmed at his date.

Jaehyuk squinted at the hastily written address on the back on his right hand. The massive building in front of him matched the address, but surely this wasn’t where his professor had meant to send him. The grad student didn’t write about pop culture, he had never wanted to, but his professor wanted him to stretch his horizons or some shit like that. Sang Talent Agency had been in the news recently with a vampire CEO, but that was about all Jae knew or cared to know about the agency. With a sigh, he walked in heading towards the front desk to ask which floor he needed to be on. The person he was interviewing would be expecting him in ten minutes from now which would give him enough time to go over the questions his professor had given him for this assignment. They were bland at best and certainly nothing Jae would ask if he had the chance to run the interview the way he wanted.

After getting the floor and room number, Jae headed towards the hallway where the elevators were located. He pressed the button to call the elevator down and while he swung his backpack around to his front to pull out his notes. A small ding alerted him to the doors opening in front of him, so he stepped inside along with two other people walking in behind him. Jaehyuk pressed himself into a back corner and proceeded to ignore everyone else after pressing the number for a higher up floor. Heights were not his forte, but that could be easily ignored if he kept his focus. The grad student mumbled softly to himself as he read each question and making mental notes on which ones he should let the person explain more in depth. He wasn’t nervous in the least bit after spending his entire childhood listening to the stories of those around him and jotting down their words.  This, at least, was something Jae was good at and took pride in.
