It wasn't often that Shin-Ah would find himself remaining awake in the dead of night, unable to fall asleep like he thought he would. Usually he'd be out like a light, using the fluff that was attached to his mask as a pillow and curled up like a small child. This night was different, however, as the Seiryuu found himself now sitting in a small clearing away from the bunch, mask on his face and his gaze fixed on the starry sky above and Ao perched on his shoulder. Somehow he'd managed to get away without waking anyone up, which he silently thanked the gods for since he didn't want to disturb anyone’s rest.

The blue-haired male had been so hypnotized by the stars [and his own thoughts consuming him as well] that at first, he hadn't heard the footsteps behind him, and the faint sound of snapping twigs and shuffling leaves. Though when Ao had suddenly taken off, the action had immediately alerted Shin-Ah as he snapped around to see who had approached him.
