Gradence/Gravebone fic idea (rape tw, pedophilia tw): Credence is uncomfortable with any mention of God and religion. It triggers him into instant panic attacks. Percival figures it's because of his mom at first, but as time passes on, he begins to notice signs that there may be more to it. When he asks Credence, he doesn't want to talk about it. Tired of playing a guessing game, Percival gets a little naughty and slips a drop Veritraserum (I definitely spelled that wrong but I'm on my phone, leave me alone lol) in his drink one day. He questions him. Credence reveals that as a child, he had suffered through a long history of sexual abuse/rape from a priest that used to work with his mother. Percival seems perfectly calm during the conversation. He leaves the room without saying much of anything to Credence. He isn't home for the rest of the evening. The next morning, MACUSA staff are confused to find that the execution room appears to have been used without prior authorization. The only clue they have is a crucifix necklace found on the wayside -- that seems to have been bloodied and torn off, as if in a struggle.
