Running around the outskirts of Fairfield but remaining in the Academy, Amara focused on her breathing and the sounding of her heartbeat pounding in her ears as she ran. She glanced over at Adrian briefly, flashing him the smallest smile. “How you going?” she asked, not slowing down in the slightest. She had agreed to let him come along, mainly because she knew it would borderline be getting dark by the time she was done, and she didn’t want to be out there alone, especially after the last time she had been out on a late run..
She had refrained from running late for the rest of the year, but running helped her clear her head, and after everything that had been going on lately she needed the stress relief. She knew that a build up of emotion would lead to a fainting attack, but at the same time lack of sleep and pushing herself also lead to it, and unfortunately for both her, and Adrian, that’s exactly what she had been doing.
While she ran, she thought she felt good until it hit her. The world started to sway for only a few seconds, slowing her down a little, and then her legs gave way and everything went black..
