All I got is now, thoughts are behind me Future's in front, time's running beside me Even when it's dark I'm showing a silver lining And I'm looking at my past and knowing they come to find me Lightning strikes and the clouds get lit up And for a split second I get that I couldn't give up Cos everything I write would eventually be written So I look up at the night to understand where I fit in And that I was given life by the perfect conditions Attracted to the light so I couldn't be different Maybe a different night, you can see it if you listen It resonates to the sky and out to the abyss and I wait for a reply and another day comes And the days turn into weeks and the weeks into months And eventually the day that I was made for has come For my energy to leave and travel back to the sun
