Initially Inaho visits out of duty and humanity. And then he finds he can't stop going back to see Slaine Troyard.

Very very slowburn romance, with a lot of tension. Real concerns about the development of such relationship in a situation of power desbalance, fix-it fic post-canon although we still hasn't got to the climax or even the start of the big action, although we have start to see the political plot with clarity *_*. Take care of the plot-holes leave by the canon end, without bashing Asseylum. Author is very careful warning about the problematic content of chapters in the notes too, if you're worried.
Overall, the best IC Slaine/Inaho fanfic of the whole fandom.
