luckless for errina
Lucklessadjective- having bad luck, unfortunatesynonyms;doomed, star-crossed, ill-fated, forlorn
Errina never did have a lot of luck growing up. It was bad enough they constantly found their lusus in the caves, hurt, and had to patch them up. It was bad enough that you were cursed with the blood you had, and the only caste you could hide as had more cons than pros. It was hard, but you managed to sell enough to survive, and get a little treat here and there. You lived in constant states of anxiety, avoiding highbloods, or any troll, that seemed off to you. Of course, that never did apply when you rushed in to stand up for other trolls. You never did think when you got into those kinds of situations, even if it meant you’d out yourself as what you truly were.
This was one of those times, and you were only in a compression tank and athletic leggings. Not the best clothes to cover up. Getting into the center of the ring of trolls wasn’t so tough, but when Errina got there they quickly got between the larger troll and the one crumpled on the ground. Before they could even blink, a punch was delivered square to their cheek, and they were on the ground in a second. However, all the fighting at least let them rebound quickly, and they deliver a kick to the ankle, before getting up and spitting to the side.Â
Alright, it was time to teach this motherfucker a lesson, however, before another move could be make, the crowd was scattering, and Errina glanced around, before turning their attention quickly to the sky. Drones. Great, okay. Errina wipes their mouth, and turns to run into an area with dense cover. If only they were closer to the forest. Something was off, though. There was another set of footsteps following. Oh, that troll is NOT following them. You’ve GOT to be kidding. Errina glances behind them and curses before pushing themselves to go faster, trying to get to the forest. Sadly, that wasn’t the case. The other troll was gaining on them, and Errina had to make a decision now. Where they were was in shambles, and Errina darted into the nearest building, before skidding to a halt and catching their breath as they turned, waiting for the troll to finally show up.Â
When they did, their scelra were burning red in anger. Errina pulls their lips into a straight line and put their fists up, ready for what was going to happen.

They had won, but there was blood, and some of it was the lime that could get them culled. God, fuck! They stumble to where their now deceased opponent lay, and pulled the shirt off of them slowly, hissing when their muscles burned in complaint. As they worked to mop up what bright blood they could, the sun began to creep up. Perfect. They’d have to spend the day next to a corpse, which was bound to become a vengeful ghost, and find a way to patch themselves up, even if it was temporary.
