00. A Closed and Common Orbit
Sidra is an instance of the Lovelace sentient AI marketed by the corporation Cerulean as a Shipwide Monitoring System designed to handle security and assist crews on long distance space ships. She came into existence when damage to the Wayfarer necessitated a reboot of the ship's systems, destroying the former personality that had bonded with the crew. To spare them the constant reminder of loss, Sidra voluntarily left the Wayfarer by allowing associate Pepper to install her in a human-passing artificial body kit. Sidra struggles to feel at home in her new body, which severely limits her sensory capabilities and memory storage, having no built-in linkage to the data cloud.
01. Armored Core VI
When her ship deorbited in the Fires of Ibis and crashed on the surface of Rubicon 3, Sidra's crew perished, leaving her alone... until "Cinder" Carla found her. Hoping to restore a brain-fried merc to usefulness, Carla installed Sidra's program into the augmented human, keeping her on standby as a mission specialist backup AC pilot in the event that Walter never returned. While she had been designed to interact with humans, Sidra never thought she'd be one. She wonders who her vessel was, and whether they have any living connections...
02. Bleach
An AI designed for human habitation climate control and monitoring, Sidra finds herself a brain without a body when her 'intelligent building' is rendered uninhabitable by an unforeseen disaster. Scheduled for erasure, she is rescued by a resourceful shinigami who happens to have a most human-like body waiting for her to inhabit it. Of course, this was not the 'body' she was designed for, so it's a bit of an adjustment.
