Get them lost? Seriously?

Sai glanced over at Logan and resisted the urge to roll her eyes. If it weren't for the fact that they were hiking through a forest to check out an abandoned building that'd supposedly had some suspicious activity, she would've smacked him upside the head. She'd been going solo for most of her life. If she had a habit of losing her direction, she would've been dead by now.

"If we get lost, I'll make sure to blame you for it somehow." Was it a good idea to sass a man with an adamantium skeleton? Probably not but she'd done things dumber and way more dangerous than that. Besides, she highly doubted that he'd attack her over a dumb comment like that. It'd be more concerning if he did.

If there was anyone else in this forest, she certainly hadn't felt their presence yet. The ninja had been using her psionic powers to ensure that they weren't ambushed. If there had been anything suspicious going on in this forest, the suspects had either abandoned the area completely or were away to do something else.

"The area seems dead, could be a false alarm. Would've be the first time the info was wrong."

     Angel didn’t quite know why she still bothered to go down to a bar when she could hardly get buzzed. The mutation sped up her metabolism and gave her enhanced strength and speed, as well as sharper senses, which made trying to drone out everything around her particularly hard. 

On her third beer, she felt a sharp tug at her instincts, a kind of sinking feeling that alerted her to the possibility of peril. Swiveling around on her seat, she immediately discovered why. Wolverine himself had just walked into the place and if there was anyone who could smell like danger, it was him.

Her brain was screaming at her to look away, turn around and make herself unnoticeable, and yet, her eyes remained trained on his figure, taking in the sight of him. And by the time she finished, he was also staring back.
