If there was anything that he wanted in this moment - it was to keep her safe. Another wrongful, unneeded death, would not be seen that night. Not if he could help it. Still - six men, he could take on his own. That wasn't the problem. It was keeping them from getting to her in the process.
"Wait here." It was all he could come up with, and his voice was soft, calm, even as he was standing to move now. His heavy boots leading him to the window, and not giving her a moment to argue with him. Jumping down from the ledge, and leaving only the crow behind to keep her company.
