7. Firm Kiss
“No.”
Aela crossed her arms over her chest with a smirk, “You lost the bet. Now go do it.” With a chuckle, she added, “I’m sure you’ll both feel better if you do.”
Groaning, Alek trudged through the hall and stopped in front of Vilkas’s door. I hate you so much, Aela. Her knuckles banged against his door and she shouted, “Vilkas! Kodlak wants you!” It was a lie, obviously, but he wouldn’t dare refuse seeing Kodlak.
After a few short moments, Vilkas opened the door and sneered when he saw Alek still standing there. Before he could utter a word, she grabbed the collar of his tunic with both hands and pulled him down to her, meeting his lips with her own in a rough kiss. A surprised grunt sounded from Vilkas’s throat, but he made no attempt to move, whether that was because she was still holding onto him or because he was in shock, Alek didn’t know. And for the moment, she didn’t care.
It was supposed to be quick peck, but it was lasting... a bit longer. Her body leaned into his, lips parting as a barely audible moan resonated in her throat. She pulled away suddenly, realizing what she was doing. Her eyes latched onto his before she turned and wordlessly walked across the hall to her room, disappearing behind the door with a slam.
♞ for Alek
Vilkas was in his room with the door shut, and as Alek stood behind it, she began second-guessing her decision to talk to him. He’d probably kick her out or yell at her. She let out a soft sigh and pushed his door open before she lost her courage… or before her pride got in the way. “Vilkas?” she muttered, before stepping through the doorway. “I- I’m sorry. I never meant to come between you and him.”
