Though the air was abnormally chilly for an early September evening, Avery was still more than determined to make it to the first football game of the year. The only problem being that her roommate was out of town for the weekend, leaving the redhead without plans... and people to make them with. Fortunately for her, she’d had the misfortune (or fortune, if she was being honest now) of meeting the girl who lived across from her, Lola, and after their first meeting, Avery couldn’t help but want to get to know the girl behind the loud music and straightforward flirting skills.
Dressed from head to toe in spirit wear of burgundy and white, Avery left her room and knocked briskly on Lola’s door and waited patiently outside. The door swung open after a moment or two to reveal the same girl she’d met previously, the same Lola she’d expected to see dressed in all neutral colored attire. Though she tried to hide it, Avery’s nose scrunched the slighted bit at the outfit, before the shining smile was back at it. She nodded once, then laughed softly to herself.
“You really weren’t kidding when you said you had no spirit wear. And to answer your other question, yes, it’s completely required for a football game. Lucky for you, I brought this.” She swiftly brought out the burgundy hoodie (with the college name lettered in cream across the front) she’d tucked under her arm.
