Wires had been feeding back nothing but a static noise for days and many Agents – Assassins and Spies—had been cut off from their safe-houses and covert locations. Many spies had been displaced from their bases of operation.           And encrypted and PRIVATE data was slowly being fed to other agencies.               While it remained encrypted, how long would the spies be safe?
Robert ‘Bruce’ Banner – The ‘Good Doctor’ – had been one of the spies who was quickly compromised and his own network, his former ALLIES, had fallen silent on him. Static fed through every phone-line and every ear-piece. Nothing could be accessed digitally.                              They had V A N I S H E D.                  Something had DRAGGED them under the SURFACE.
Bruce was left in the dark – and with his F I L T H Y reputation and his private information in limbo – he knew it would not be long before Agents and adversaries who had been subjected to his presence on the field or in the interrogation rooms would be personally seeking him out.  Each and every one likely wanting to empty countless rounds into his body until he had no blood left to part with.
Something ELSE bothered Banner.         He was without his  s u p p l y. He was a man with a d e p e n d a n c y.
But what angered the G o o d  D o c t o r most of all was that there was an unseen force making him take risks – make choices – he did not desire. He was being FORCED to cross wires.
Crossing wires with the S T A R K S.    One Bruce had almost killed. Another who H A T E D  the mere thought of his existence.
[ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]: Alexandria. It’s Banner. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]: I realise you have every reason not to trust this. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]: But I need your assistance. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]: There’s been a compromise. And soon it won’t just affect me. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]: If you don’t believe me. Try searching for my records. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]:  They’ll be public knowledge soon. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]:  As will arrest warrants unless we put down whoever is doing this.
Bruce knew the Stark family well. He had a long history with them and truth be told, not all of it was filled with a blood-feud or bitter memories. Anthony Stark and he had once been a team on the field. They were D A N G E R O U S Â and had been often tracked by many agencies. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Both of FEAR and INTEREST.
That was until Bruce had practically stabbed Anthony in the back and twisted the blade. Why? For reasons that Bruce never parts will. Reasons Bruce will likely drag to his grave with him.
[ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]:  I will be at your location within the next two hours. I am armed but I don’t plan to shoot. [ msg ]: [ENCRYPTED DATA]:  Yet.
Getting from the safe-house to A N Y W H E R  E remotely under the radar had been H E L L. Bruce had crossed paths with two former colleagues – double Agents – and there had been a confrontation.              Two bodies were left cooling on the safe-house’s kitchen floor.
Bruce had been L U C K Y by a damned sight. He escaped with a bloodied nose and a deep slice across his right cheek. It would need stitches but that could wait. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â It HAD to wait.
