Listen, my dude--Ace was basically raised to hate superman(and other nonhumans) but like, she IS a metahuman and she’s arguably just as strong as superman in terms of destructive capability and that just breeds SO MUCH self-hate but Ace doesn’t WANT to hate herself so instead she forces it all on superman.

Superman is the Earth’s Big Good and that fucks with Ace so much because she’s been told her whole life that he’s a monster, he’s inhuman, and a danger to the earth because his powers are largely unstoppable. Thing is, so is she--Ace meets so many of the requirements of being a ‘bad non-human’ and she knows it but she can’t admit that beyond vague assertions that’s she’s too is a monster. Ace just has to make herself think that’s she’s the lesser of two monsters by villanizing Superman in her mind because otherwise she’s just as guilty as CADMUS taught her that Superman is.

“I wasn’t stealing anything for M E. A friend asked me to go in, grab a file and get O U T. I have to get back in there.” Her voice was laced with unkindness, even if he had just saved her and she should be grateful to the Man of Steel. But all he did was set her B A C K.
