“Nowi, have you ever learned other languages outside what I know you already know?”
Sora is well versed in both swordplay and magecraft. Though she was never formally trained in the former, she is an acrobatic fighter, quite nimble on her feet due largely in part to her experience as a dancer, and behind each swing of her sword is plenty of strength. Most of her sword skills were learned based on observation of others and then she proceeded to learn what worked best for her, which led to her developing her own style.
As someone who was formally trained in magic since she was a child, it is safe to say she is a better mage than swordswoman, despite being strong in both. Once returning to retrain with Malakai after the events of the first Broken Sonata, Sora’s combat style also involves using magic with her sword (when deemed appropriate for the situation). She casts different elements to the blade to give it an elemental boost. While she does this, she is also one to use different spells on their own. While she may have fire surrounding the blade of her weapon, she will also cast an ice spell against her opponent or even create an illusion to distract them.

“Interesting.” Archers weren’t as common a sight as one would think. Come to think of it, at least for her, when it came to ranged weaponry, she only really saw people using guns. A bow and arrow perhaps seemed too inconvenient to others? Or she somehow went through life never meeting an archer when there were, in fact, many wandering the world? ...Something like that, perhaps. Besides all of that, his bow seemed rather peculiar. “The craftsmanship is quite pretty. Is it a family heirloom?” Or maybe just custom made according to the male’s preferences.

“I’ve only ever had my door kicked in ONCE, and that was by my own foot. Sometimes my jobs have me kicking other people’s doors down though. It’s rude, but effective. You ever have to do that?” She couldn’t even begin to count how many times her jobs had her breaking windows as well. Sometimes emergencies called for this. At least it was easily fixable afterwards by her hand. “Actually, to tell you the truth...” At this now a smile formed on her face and she quietly laughed. “I feel like one of these days, you’re going to kick my door down to announce you’re visiting by chance. If you ever do that, I’ll make you your favorite thing to eat~”

Though she is fond of several housewife chores, Sora discovered she does find excitement in battle during her teen years, amplified only after her years spent wandering. Once she returned to peaceful ways, she found herself restless every now and then, an itch that could only be resolved with a fight with an equal. There is no delight to be had for her where the outcome is obvious. While she may not be battle crazy, she cannot deny the thrill she experiences in a good spar.
@wayward-sword asked: "Do you ever think I could do with a change of clothes by now? I'm open to suggestions."
A style change all of a sudden? Malakai had prepared Zech a different set of clothes once before, but it never really crossed her mind that he may have been bothered by the lack variation in clothing since then. He always seemed like he simply dressed however he wanted to and what would be convenient for his work. But if she were to give her opinion...
“Yvolevw, I think you’d look wonderful in anything, so it’s a little unfair to ask me such a generalized question.” But she soon smiled and laughed. “Well, I think you’d look nice in something blue and white. Maybe a little more... refined? You can still fight in clothes that look good. Ah, cool colors would be good overall, but definitely blues and white, with a bit of black and silver. The coat style can stay~”
Human mages differ from the Mvevi and Laceum. While humans can perform magic, the strength of their spells is weaker and takes a larger toll on their bodies over time. This is due to them drawing their mana from their physical bodies alone. Mvevi and Laceum receive their mana from the nature around them, which bonds with their souls; the result varies depending on how well the mana and one’s soul bonds. Only they are able to utilize the bond to produce spells of their levels.
This isn’t to say human mages are weak. They can be strong mages in their own right, but because they are naturally inferior mages in comparison, research has been poured into figuring out methods and tools to strengthen a human’s spell, especially after the people had gone into hiding from the world. Yukimura’s experiment back then was an example of this research, though it was canceled later on due to the losses experienced and discovery by the government.
