Heâd made a mistake, the biggest one he could have possibly have made; he let Hongbin out of his sight. It wasnât something he thought would be a problem, no matter how long he was away the familiar could take care of himself. At least, that was what he thought until halfway through a photoshoot he felt it. Pain. For the first time in his life, he felt the sensation that made him collapse against the floor, screaming and writhing. He felt things similar, when his magic built up within his body too much it felt similar, but it was nothing to this extent. The only thing he could think to do was strike out at the humans in the room, his magic lashing at anything around him, but no matter how much he screamed, no matter how much blood was shed, the pain never went away.Â
Minki didnât know how long he was laying there just crying, body shaking from the feeling he couldnât stop. His brain nearly couldnât cope, the witch almost broke completely from the continuous agony he was forced to experience. He couldnât figure out a cause until it finally clicked in his mind, panic quickly shifting to anger. Hongbin. Someone had his familiar, someone was hurting him, and even worse, they were hurting Minki as well. Forcing himself up the blood mageâs tears were slow to dry, but it was becoming easier and easier to tolerate the pain. Finding the familiar was the hard part, especially when he started hurting more and more the closer he got. The witch never stayed very inconspicuous, but wherever he walked he was leaving a trail of bodies behind, lashing out at whoever crossed his path as he tried to cope with the searing pain radiating through his body. When Minki finally tracked down where Hongbin was, he stumbled in through the door, hazy eyes instantly zeroing in on the stranger hovering too close to his familiar.Â
âYouâre the cause of this.â He hissed out, allowing his trembling form to rest against the wall just inside the room. He was a mess, covered in sweat and blood, but getting here was the hard part. Making the person responsible suffer would be far too easy, but he needed to stabilize himself first, gaze shifting to Hongbin as his features softened. âYou were hard to find. Hang on a little longer, alright? Iâll try to make this quick..â
