Switched || Dick & Zatanna
whelmedandfeelingtheaster
This turned out a lot differently than expected. Dick’s not sure how to react to this ; how to cope. For a moment he’s fumbling around with hands too small but legs longer than his own - a torso heavier and awkward because if there’s one thing he’s not used to carrying around it’s a pair of breasts. He has literally just one question:
Of all the most awkward things that had ever happened to him while on the job, this is definitely winning the Most Awkward Consequence Award. Dick looks over to Zatana - except it’s more like looking at himself with an incredibly startled expression. Both are still suited up, even if they’d lost the bad guy a few minutes ago. Neither of them knew how to fight in the other’s body, and they’d had to flee to get things together. He is still incredibly overwhelmed and unsure of how to proceed.
"Uh - so, how is this going to…work?" He asks, startled at the unfamiliar pitch of his voice at the moment.
Zee never was a skilled hand to hand
fighter. Of course, she knew the basics.
If she didn't she wouldn't have survived
long in this lifestyle. However, she
primarily relied on her magical abilities
to fight. That's why when they switched
bodies, she felt absolutely clueless.
Yes, part of it was because she was a
lot shorter and was suddenly a guy,
with a guy's equipment, but it was
mostly because she no longer has access
to her magic.
When they finally got away, she took a
moment to catch her breath, before raising
an eyebrow over at him. It was so weird
talking to yourself. Or well- your own
body. This was the strangest thing she's
ever been through, and she just hoped
they wouldn't be switched for too long.
"Just... don't use magic. I mean if you really
need to, just say something backwards.
But make sure you pronounce it right or you
might cause something to happen that you
didn't plan on."
She sighed. This was going to be a long
mission, wasn't it?
"And roll your shoulders back when you
run. It makes things a lot easier."
