nicholis was driving to pick his daughter up from school, a habit he’d picked up on since they’d more or less “gotten together.” besides, he thought it was better for her to ride with him rather than the bus. nic usually tried to arrive a little earlier so he could beat the teenage traffic, but he ended up waiting in the line for an extra ten minutes. irritated with the shitty parking lot, nicholis hoped seeing laura would brighten his mood. that’s when he saw her sitting in her usual waiting spot. except, there was nothing usual about the situation. he saw another boy sitting rather close to her, arm around her shoulder. her friends and what he assumed were the boy’s friends were standing around all chatting. his brow lowered into a scowl and anger rolled in his abdomen. nicholis rolled down the window and leaned out of it. “laura! get your ass in the car, now!” he yelled across the grass, honking the horn a few times.

A quick little pout made it's way upon her face at the mention of her loss in Papillion. She wasn't expecting to get her ass kicked literally every single round, especially since two others were playing with them too.

"Oh, yes. Everything is fine!" Laura was quick to reassure. Honestly, more than alright. If anything, she felt like the one who should have been worrying. She had a bit to say and well, not knowing how he was going to feel was a bit scary. She was confident, but nothing in life was for sure. A risk she was willing to take.

"I uh," she laughed yet again, her face which was already dusted pink flushed even more. "I suppose it's been in thought for a while." Really, it was a big debate. She'd housed him out of kindness, was helping him learn and live here. He wasn't exactly familiar anymore when they met again, but he did always hold a space in her heart. Falling back in love with him almost came with ease. But would a confession make him uncomfortable? Would he go elsewhere?

"Yeah, I could. I could do--I mean, I'm pretty sure I'm already lost." Molly jogged to catch up with Laura, glancing absently at their surroundings. "Y'know, since my phone's gone missing. Who knew GPS was so important these days? Remember when physical maps were the rage?"

1. What does your muse smell like?

Pine and minty most of the time, lavender in summer. She keeps mint and lavender pouches in her cabinets (and her favourite shampoo is minty), sometimes though she uses lavender instead of pine and mint. She adores lavender (and grows it during spring/summer)

2. What do your muse’s hands feel like?

Slightly dry and shaky, but still soft. She has pianist hands, her fingers are long and narrow, her skin is often really dry but she does try to keep them as soft as possible. Her hands shake/shiver often, either due to being tense, nervous, or tired. Whether it is related to any condition is unknown.

3. What does your muse usually eat in a day?

Whatever she manages to make or snack on. She has low motivation on cooking or eating, not really craving anything besides something salty at times. Quite often rye bread with butter is an easy meal with some tea. In verses where she has a son she eats what he eats, often soups or casseroles.

4. Does your muse have a good singing voice?

Her voice is very soft and quiet. She never really learned how to use her voice but she does sing soft lullabies well. She hums a lot when playing the piano though. 

5. Does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks?

Bottling up her emotions, fiddling or picking on her nails when nervous, rubbing the end of her sleeves between her fingers when upset/nervous. The usual anxiety stuff.

6. What does your muse usually look like / wear?

Natural colours and simple designs. Often just normal pants with a cardigan or longsleeve shirt. Or a long sleeved straight dress. Her main goal is to hide herself underneath her clothing as she isn’t very confident and has body image issues due to having being underweight in her youth. She loves black, gray, and white. Just a basic bitch tbh

7. Is your muse affectionate? How much? How so?

Very, with the people she cares about. She is horrible putting anything into words, instead touch is her most powerful tool to signal that she is there for you. Anything from hugs to stroking ones hair (and that secret soft smile), kisses on foreheads and just simply being attentive. To her an act speaks more than words and she is quite persistent on showing her affection to those deserving it.

8. What position does your muse sleep in?

Back and her right side. When she is really exhausted she hugs her pillow whilst laying on her stomach but usually she falls asleep best by laying on her back and tucking herself into her blanket as tightly as possible.

9. Could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?

Unless she is wearing shoes, no you can’t. She is like a ghost as she has the tendency to be very quiet and hide in a way. It’s always been in her nature to be invisible, to blend in and hide rather than make her presence known. Her quietness has resulted in many scares since she was a child. Making a lot of noise is actually something she finds unpleasant (unless it’s her son just playing around)
