Location: Sweeney Todd Musical

Darren had sent Diamond a few good luck texts. He was excited realizing his girlfriend was going to be part of the production of Sweeney Todd. All he wanted to do was move forward in their relationship and supporting her was something he was good at. He had absolutely no problem expressing his admiration towards her. After her performance he was going to give her a bouquet of roses. Girls like shit like that. He decided to fetch an Uber and headed towards the theater. As he got out, he looked at everyone in their fancy suits, and was relieved knowing he at least fit in. It wasn’t a plain black suit, it definitely stood somewhat out, and he was happy to know it held some personality. 

“Boring fucks.” He mumbled to himself with a slight chuckle. 

Darren went to the ticket booth and got his ticket. He strolled into the lobby and just took in the entire atmosphere. His eyes were entranced by the bar and he couldn’t help himself but just poke his head in to see what all the fuss was about. After briefly examining he left it and headed back towards the lobby. He had some time to kill before it actually started and he decided to take out his phone and watch some Netflix. 

He turned to look at someone closest to him and poked their shoulder to get their attention. “’Scuse me, sorry, but when does t’a show start?”

Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday to me. Igor could hear people from his past wishing him a happy birthday. He remembered his mother making him delicious treats, nothing really extravagant, such as birthday cakes, as they do in America. He just remembered her making his favorite desserts and his grandfather would drink some special fruit wine he made himself down in his basement cellar. He’d drink plenty of those to remember the sweet taste. Those times, it was easy to get drunk because you rarely tasted the alcohol. As part of his birthday celebration he wanted to go see the Sweeney Todd Musical that was playing in Chicago. It would be a nice time to be with family and to support people that were part of it. 

He remembered Nadia, Lee, and Anton were casted and he was really looking forward to seeing Anton dressed up as some beggar. After this was over he wanted to grab a drink somewhere or maybe go to some nice restaurant. He had many plans and he wondered if his family were going to do something special for him. 

Why would they though? This year it wasn’t as if he was making a lot of progress befriending them. He focused on work, made good friends with Anton, but as family goes...he still felt as if he didn’t truly know them. 

Igor was wearing a nice suit, as usual, and ventured through the halls. Occasionally he’d meet up with some people and they’d wish him a happy birthday.  He wasn’t advertising it was his birthday. Some people just like to pry.

Nightmares were incredibly common for Oisin. He never had a great night and due to his insomnia it would result in him heading towards the bar. That’s exactly what he did  that night. Last thing he could remember was drinking to the point of saying some shite to a fellah. He could feel each blow to his stomach and  with the  last final swing he was out cold. He had awoken on the streets feeling pain and decided it would be best to see Cecilia. He knew where she lived and knew she was a medic. 

Oisin pounded on her door, shouting from feeling drunk, and leaned against the frame.

“Come on, open up, Cee. I need to see yous. It’s three in t’a fucking morning. Let me in, I need some-” He burped, pressing his head against the door. “I need help. Come on, open up.”

Location: Downtown 

A week had past since the cruise incident that occurred. Igor was taking some personal days before heading back to work. He needed this break to just unwind, relax, and figure things out. He had managed to save Veronica while on the cruise and was still figuring himself out. He was walking around downtown before heading into a corner store to buy some cigarettes. After checking out he lit one and leaned against a wall. 

He hadn’t noticed, until now, that someone was nearby. “Did you need something?” He asked, blowing out the smoke. 

Location: Miami, Florida (Hotel) 

Goodbye gloomy depressing weather and hello palm trees, pina coladas on the beach, and sunshine! Darren had always wanted to fly to Miami and it had been sort of a dream of his to venture somewhere warm. California was another destination on his wishlist, but Miami, was closer and he wasn’t complaining. The moment he was on the plane, to now running through the hotel lobby, he was beaming. He hadn’t remembered a time where he was smiling this much while being sober. After paying for the rooms he helped Diamond with her own luggage and headed towards their suite. 

“Okay, so we can be t’a typical tourists going on excursions an’ shite or we can just say fuck it an’ run wild. I actually prefer t’a running wild part an’ just fuck ‘round on t’a beach. Whatever works for yous.” He took out his key card and opened door for her. “M’lady.” He winked, allowing her to enter first. 

He followed behind her, wide-eyed, at the beach scenery. “Oh, fuck. Look at t’at!” He ran towards the window and pressed his palms against it. “Babe, seriously, look at t’a fucking ocean! It’s so clear!” 

Darren didn’t realize it until now but a lot of things had been happening so far this week. He had just learned that his friend Chester was being sent to a mental hospital, he missed his training session causing him to be on work detail cleaning up the guns for a month, and last night he had slept with Kitty O’Shea. They didn’t have sex, just kissed, however that was still playing in his mind. He had no idea that someone as innocent as Kitty was subjected to such torture in her home life. It made him really think how okay his home life was, meaning, his mam actually did care for him he just hated living such a mundane life.

Today was Liam’s birthday and everyone was preparing for the festivities at Skyfall. He had volunteered to help out with the decorations and came early with some snacks. As he approached the room they were having the party in he set the food down and started helping out. People were working on balloons, streamers, and setting up the food. Assorted smells entered his nose and he was already getting hungry.

“Would Liam mind if I just were to eat t’a cake now?” He groaned, taking a peek at the baked goods.

This would be the first time Igor had ever been on a double date. It’s not that he didn’t detest group dates. He just never had the opportunity to go to one before since he was always busy. He was looking forward to spend time with his friend, Anton, his now girlfriend Veronica, and Anton’s significant other, Danica. They had all agreed to go to a Thai place for food and Igor was driving to pick up Veronica. He drove towards her apartment and made a face at the apartment complex. He knew that Jesse and her were still living together since they had a lease she couldn’t break. 

As he was waiting in the car he grabbed his phone and dialed her number. He waited for her to pick up,  and as he was doing so, he took a box of cigarettes out and lit one. After smoking a single puff he heard her voice on the other end of the phone.

“I am out front. Waiting.” He smiled, exhaling the cigarette. “Come when you’re ready.” He placed the cigarettes in the side pocket of the car and hung up the phone to wait for her. When she approached the vehicle he looked over her outfit and smiled. “You look so good. Ready to go?” He asked.
