Yes. No! Maybe?
post-chobotics-expo/new timeline ⊠tw: depression, anxiety, mentions of past abuse, alcohol
The expo had left both of the girls deeply confused and hurt. None of them were the way they used to be. Strong, stubborn Yura was left with self-doubt and had lost her sarcastic streak. More gentle Yuna had little of her kindness left and instead adopted a more pessimistic view of the world.
She'd coloured her hair black, something that Yura had wanted to do for a long, long time. But it didnât really matter, because neither of them could face themselves in a mirror - or any reflective surface for that matter. Meeting him again, even if he wasnât real had been too much and the past months had been hell.
Having lost oneself was a difficult thing to deal with and she⊠they had to deal with it twice - each with themselves and the other.
Ironically it helped their singing. Obviously neither of them could care less about a singing career - hadnât before and definitely wouldnât now - but they still needed to make a living with it. And their very messed up emotional state was very apparent in their voice, making them gain the one or other additional âfanâ.
They wouldâve been happy about it, wouldnât they simply be too tired to care whatsoever.
For a while they got lost in alcohol, since even as a card they could get drunk. And surprisingly it was Yuna who opted to go for the âcomfortingâ liquid. Not for long though, as it made them feel much worse afterwards and wasnât really worth it.
Going partying or any of the like wasnât an option either - too exhausting, too loud, too many people. It didnât help that Leo was nowhere to be found either and they had no idea whether he died or just disappeared. At some point she simply deemed him dead - for some reason, it was easier to deal with. Plus she just had this feeling.
But as things went more and more downhill, at some point the only way was up. Or so they thought, but really, it got worse.
Yura pretty much disappeared and Yuna was left by herself. She only used her magic now and then - which of course wouldnât end well at all. She exploded - her magic exploded - and of course this wouldnât go unnoticed by the heroes.
She didnât really try to put up a fight and she didnât care much. And then they were gone.
But neither Yuna nor Yura could remember anything when time was set back and they were back. Theyâd forgotten everything that had happened and were back to their good old self.
Yuna decided to cut her hair, buy a few new clothes and started researching a bit of the 1920s in America, to give her performances a certain flair. She was happy again, constantly drank coffee and had a good time.
They enjoyed it. At least for however long it might last.
