                    it’d been a last-second  R E A L I Z A T I O N  and in her defense, she’d been almost certain whatever was making everyone cold was the same thing scrambling her head. she’d found herself needing moments; between clinging to the wall and trying to not fall into someone ( because she wasn’t sure she wanted to risk making anyone a human pancake ). It may have taken longer than she wanted but she’d found him at least — a positive, in her opinion. “ SORRY... ” she’s speaking quietly, unable to muster up the strength to turn up the volume. she hoped he could hear it, although it was more so a relief he was here. “ I tried to get here sooner. ”

              there was something  S T R A N G E L Y  appealing about all the chaos though to say it seemed to be a matter of picking and choosing between one way to act and another, was a vast understatement given the implications of the wrong people seeing them acting the wrong way ( she needed her cover for now ). so rather than feel IMPEDED by the boring narrative of playing officer friendly, she took it as more of fun little game; something to keep her warm in these cold times. “ you look troubled...so uh — allow me to play the cliche cop, while you do you. ” they provided a little humor to their tone but a cop in a bar...drinking on the job, well, that really did play to every movie cliche ever written ( she was sad about the lack of doughnuts ). 

    there was something  I N F A M O U S  about certain individuals; heaven ( at least when functioning ) had often kept a close eye on the more chaotic, if simply in some careful need to ensure it never tipped too far over the edge. it inevitably always did, though, there tended to be matters that had been deemed more IMPORTANT — not that he’d ever been fully convinced. of course, it became clear centuries later that Heaven was as corrupt as everything it fought against, and maybe the sad part was how long and how often he’d fought to try and rebuild it. He failed...he just kept failing and then as if the rug hadn’t been torn out from under him enough, Chuck showed his true colors and in doing so took everything ( everyone ) away. all that remained was HISTORY: knowledge he’d been left with and if the situation at hand wasn’t more concerning, perhaps he’d be doing far more than merely taking note of the other’s presence. 

  “ sorry...— I need to get past you, ” words coated in hesitance and curiosity though, by this point in the day, he was unsurprised by the constant occurrence of COINCIDENCE. he hardly offers much of a smile; by reputation alone, he’s not sure how to act in the presence of the Original Hybrid. 

         “ well, if it isn’t the bloody red queen... ” Hell, a nice  U N I Q U E  portion of existence that she’d found herself limited in her desire to go ( call it not wanting to fuck herself over ) but hey new rulers had always been FUN —whether longevity was an option or not. “ could really use the fires of Hell...right about NOW, ” they let their features curve into something both amused and impatient; in her defense, she’d never been one to be stuck indoors too long. it reminded her FAR TOO MUCH of a little well thought of torture period. “ you know — toast some marshmallows, pretend it’s the summer of 69. ”
