heeeeeey oUo answer this whenever you have a chance--i jsut have a question about Mirage! I'm writing your starter from yetoneofyouisadevil (inc ase you didn't know that was me ;u; ) and I'm just curious as to what role she plays in the DGM world. I know from her about she's met a lot of them at social balls--but i'm curious about if she comes to the Order, plays any part in their goals/battles...if that makes sense. oUo;; i'm just curious tbh <3<3
The biggest part she plays is being a double-agent, sort of… Not that I had the chance to RP any of my ideas about it yet, but I can just type them down.
My ultimate plan in all of the universes is making her a famous informant, especially for different sides of wars. (This differs for Durarara verse because she has a different motive there.) Someone that has connections to all sides and gives them information in return of information and other payments — but still stays out of the actual war and doesn’t give either side reasons big enough to take her off.
So that’s what she does in DGM verse as well. She loved her husband (again, in all verses) thus after losing him, a big figure of affection and envy and gratitude; she loses it. She starts to sticks her nose to every dirt she can find, and because she is a good observer she can usually tell when someone has a secret, no matter how good they are.
Specially for DGM verse, though, her open relationship with the Central comes from her funding different experiments for her own entertainment. She likes seeing people in pain, it’s in her nature — and we know how Central uses people freely. At the same time, she has a direct relationship with the Earl, and her main role there is finding investment sites and giving them away to the Earl’s use every now and then, so that he can use her apparent business (shoe makers) as a cover up.
This lets her be a double agent for both sides, giving and taking information, sometimes even giving false information by the request of either side. This allows her to not be killed by either side, so she is sort of buying herself life points with each investment she makes. But she is addicted to this risk, not knowing when an assasin might just take her down. It’s a game for her.
