Amaterasu settles in Eros' arms, her own looped around his neck as he flew them high above the city, the sun reaching to say its goodbyes to her as it prepared to settle for the night. She flexes her toes from inside her shoes as if reaching for that last vestiges of warmth, even as she presses close into her husbands chest, listening to his heart beat in time with the power of his wings.

This time was a precious gift and she took several moments to soak everything in. Soon, much too soon, they needed to descend and return to the life they have. As bustling and blessed as it was, Amaterasu cherished the moments when it was just the two of them, a way to reconnect and just be, without all the current demands on their time.

Amaterasu leaned into the hug bestowed upon her husband, already all smiles and delighted laughter. In the past she would have been so scared of this, the euphoria of waking up full of this love for another, crippled by the fear that it would all come crashing down someday. But with Eros, he had shown her that she shouldn't be afraid; and that every day together would be a gift. Immortality definitely had its perks.

"Oh?" Her curiosity piqued, Amaterasu couldn't help but reach to fluff his rose-colored locks, the color she personally liked best on him, though it was hard to find any look that that didn't match him. "Then consider me yours then, perhaps we can come back in time to tuck them in bed?" She asks hopefully. As much as married life suited Amaterasu, their new family had also given her so much joy. She enjoyed being the mother to Eros' children, gladly accepting the role wholeheartedly. Thankfully, Eros' twins liked her and while Amaterasu would never dream of replacing their biological mother, Amaterasu was happy to be their momma.

Amaterasu usually could not be awake past sunset, her diminished divinity making it difficult for her to even awake. But she supposed that with the presence of more and more of her family on the island, they were assisting in her ability to stay awake. And she liked being awake for a bit more than just sunset these days. Especially when two adorable children brought so much joy into their lives. Bedtimes were now a precious thing to Amaterasu to try to reach.

That was what she was doing now, walking towards the twins' bedrooms, ready to tuck them in and drop kisses upon their heads and say good night. At least that was the plan, until she overheard a story Cordelia and Evander were telling to each other.

"In the heavens above, the sun goddess Amaterasu and the love god Eros had forged an unlikely alliance. They were two very different beings - one radiating with warmth and light, the other with passion and desire - but they had found common ground in their shared desire to bring happiness and joy to the world." Cordelia was saying in her cultured voice, making Amaterasu proud yet again by her very advanced vocabulary for her age.

"The sun goddess liked the love god's ability to bring people together, while Eros admired the way Amaterasu's light could fill even the darkest corners of the world!" Evander piped up.

Amaterasu could tell Eros' mind was somewhere else; despite the fact his attention was fully on her as she spoke. There was a way the light caught in his eyes when he was deep in thought and partially the reason why she was so insistent in assisting him with his tie was to also witness the light dance across his face. She was still completely besotted with him, every expression on his face drawing her in, and her hands fluttering all over him as if quite unbelieving he was still here before her.

She accepts the embrace with a soft laugh, reaching to loop her arms around his neck, his vessel quite taller than her. "I love you too~" She hums and her arms squeeze, nuzzling into his neck to breathe him in. Around them she could hear the twins babbling to each other, quite well behaved for somebody about to get their pictures taken. "Thank you," She whispers in his ear as she pulls away to meet his eyes again, hand coming to cradle his cheek.

Amaterasu was already embarrassed enough that she had made quite a seen and injured no less two people including herself with the incidents regarding the ring. She had not wanted that Eros' children's first impression of her was a rampaging scary goddess. Thankfully, Eros, had saved her, using his strength and love to bring her back. She was still in recovery, and had been grateful for Eros' offer to cook dinner.

"Oh," She ducks her head sheepishly, a smile on her face at being completely drawn in by his harmless prank. "You got me." Her eyes drifted towards the basket and they widened as Eros showed her the treats.

"That's very nice of them," Her smile widens, touched at the gesture of their friends. "Perhaps I can make them something in return for their generosity?" She looks up at her husband to see what he thought of the suggestion, only to catch his attention drift towards the two new blessings that now made up their household.

"Do you trust me?" Amaterasu's voice was warm and soothing, spoken in hushed tones as if she were in the library. It was the kind of low tone that was meant to put one at ease...or promise something else entirely.

And for today it was something entirely. It was not as if she was innocent in the ways of seduction. When you are married to a love deity, you pick up a thing or two. But it also meant that one must really be attuned to the needs of said love god. It must not be seduction for seduction's sake, though she knew Eros enjoyed such things especially when it came from people whom he loved and trusted dearly. But seduction, love games, and all those things that came with his territory would come across as something expected from Eros. Very few actually went beyond the image that was popularized by culture. How many could say they had taken the time to see beyond the razzle and dazzle of the supernaturally beautiful immortal that was he?

"I promise there are no hidden charges for this service." Her tone becomes one of teasing now as she holds Eros' hands and leads him down the warmed stone path of her personal onsen. She had called up Minx a week ago and asked them to handle things for the day without their boss. She did the same at the library and museum. How long has it been since they last took a day off? Their anniversary trip seemed so long ago. Today, Amaterasu was going to change that. She was prepared that for today, she was just going to be a wife. Showering her much worked husband the attention he so deserved.

"Hmmm," Amaterasu speaks in an uncharacteristic languid voice, as if for the moment she was quite content on not being a flurry of activity. This was the Sunshine festival after all, and like her husband, her favorite time of the year on the island. The atmosphere of the festivities was like pure sunshine seeping into her, warmth making her skin glow as she settles back into Eros' embrace. They were on break, and for a moment they could savor just a moment's peace. "Well I do mean it, it's better with you here." She looks up to meet his gaze from where she rested against his shoulder, nestling back into his arms.

Amaterasu rests her hand atop his, just savoring the moment without the need to fill the silence with conversation. The two of them had always enjoyed giving service and help to others, so to get a quiet time that was just saved for the two of them was something the sun goddess always cherished. A recharge for to be able to face the responsibilities they both face.
