[ As usual, I was wholly consumed by abstract matters such as Time and Responsibilities ... but let me momentarily keep the beasts at bay to announce what else has been keeping me busy: preparations for the last edition of ABCD! For those who don’t know the project: each year we gather a team of musicians, artists and tuners to create a free digital album for KAITO’s 4 birthdays ( A through D ). While I know baiting with names has promotional value, the full line-up won’t be out until November 2 ( Smiling KAITO Day, see below! ), so I can’t say anything on that yet ... other than that we have a lot of returning participants, but we’re still seeking some extra! The information site is over at @abcdinformationeng , so please see there for all details. If you have any other questions after reading it, you’re welcome to send me a message here! We’re largely still looking for some artists and tuners, but musicians are still welcome, too! Oh, though, if that works as bait ... I can tell you we have a theme this year, and it’s “fairytale”. I couldn’t think of anything more apt to give VOCALOID’s blue prince his happy ending ... so let’s write it together, one last time! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و ]

[ Yesterday, I had an important revelation. While browsing KAITO V1′s Crypton page, I stumbled across a few instructional videos that I hadn’t checked out yet ( in JPN, but at the bottom, if you’re interested! ). One of these included instructions on the ‘Randomize’ function, which, in my 3 years of owning him, I’d never clicked before, because why turn your hard tuning work into scrambled eggs, right? Turns out, however, that it’s a function for letting the program generate its own pitchbends -- in order words, a function to have the VOCALOID ‘tune itself’. “What the hell!” I thought. “Fucking novel!! That’s like A.I.?! V1 was that close to being an independently functioning vocal robot?! Why the hell did they take that out in later editions?!” Until I tried it for myself, and well. ]

[ A little ooc posting today, apologies, but I’d like to draw everyone’s attention to an upcoming project ( that being the reason I can’t update tonight, haha ). Tomorrow is MIRIAM’s overseas release date and in honor of that we’ll be revealing the first demo reel of The Lady and the Silver Circle, the birthday project we set up for her this year! Since there is no Tumblr account, it’ll be hosted at Twitter, while the demo reel itself will be posted to the ABCD Youtube channel, which The Lady and the Silver Circle is a sister project to. Hopefully it’s something you can look forward to as well, despite it not being the expected KAITO content from this account. All actual songs and art will be revealed on June 26th, MIRIAM’s Japanese birthday, so please stay as tuned as Shinjou-P vocal line! ]

I generally post snippets of music / tuning and other things not big enough for full SC/NND uploads on there, though, and I think it takes about a year before they actually go down, so by that time they’re usually not very relevant anymore … plus, Vocaroo offers a DL option, so if people really want whatever I posted, they can just grab it at the time. I assume you’re asking because there was particular file I posted on Vocaroo that you were looking for, though? If so, feel free to tell me which one it was! I admit that I just tossed out a lot of stuff because I moved to a new laptop, but I might still have it, which means I could reupload! ]
