✤ —- Some songs just should never play on their own, let alone soon after one is stirring out of slumber – plagued not by nightmares, but by weird reveries nonetheless. His fault for turning on the radio for shower, the singer guesses. He makes it quick then, just enough to cleanse the body – not even daring to presume to be able to do the same to the soul. Not right now. All dry and clothed, then, Bill makes a walk to the kitchen and prepares a tray with a light breakfast: a bowl with sliced strawberries, toast, strong coffee, and a big bottle of water. Plus the pain killers he grabs from the bathroom’s medical cabinet. Setting it all on the nightstand, eyes puffy from spilled water which did not entirely come from the shower head, he leans over his sleeping twin’s face and starts liberally planting kisses.
“ Hey, you little sloth… I brought you yummies! ”
A groan - irreplaceably of the kind only a drinking night before could provoke, though soft even so, is what Tom lets out before he smiles lightly at the kiss shower. Repositioning his head a little, he lets the blinds that were his lids roll up in the slightest, blinking tiredly through a sleepy stare. “Hey,” cracks the voice back, and the brunette stretches a little under the covers, scratching the back of his head with a soft moan. Finally seeing the bigger picture of things as Bill moves back to give him space, Tom is quick to notice the food tray next to the alarm clock where he automatically glances to check the time, his twin’s words only now resonating as an actual information in his head. Yummies, right. “Oh wow,” he smiles somewhat further, “you didn’t have-“ dies the smile again. “Billa?” The beautiful brown eyes had torment behind them, any idiot would’ve been able to see – no need to be Tom himself to figure this one out. Sitting up slowly, Tom tugs on the other’s sleeve to make him sit down on the edge of the bed, and moves closer, tip of nose hitting the stubbled cheek once he softly rests his chin on his brother’s shoulder in a lingering silence. “I like my coffee back, not salty,” tries to lift up the mood the guitarist, implying the other had better not cried, though what’s obvious is, well, obvious. Pressing a soft kiss against the other’s cheek, he continues carefully. “What’s up?” he finally asks in a whisper, knowingly waiting for the other to explain.
sadat was the valedictorian his & isolde's graduating yr of hs and he was so excited bc he'd been working so hard to make up for the two classes he completely bombed his freshman year and he did it!! yeah!!! and he was even more excited bc his dad promised he was gonna be there and he was stressing out bc now the speech had to be Even More Perfect than he'd already been trying to make it
but then when it came time to speak and he looked out and found isolde's family and his dad wasn't sitting next to them he knew that his dad hadn't shown up and he like. stood there for a couple really long seconds of awkward silence before going through w the speech he'd planned out
and he started crying near the end and everyone just thought he was having A Feel abt graduating and moving on but isolde knew he was rly disappointed his dad hadn't shown up. and jsut. :(
