TOEFL
I took TOEFL test today in Akihabara. At the session of reading the confidentiality agreement, I forgot how to read the date of today. I felt so embarrassed. Hearing Japanese people reading so fluently and loudly, i realised that Japanese people are not bad at English as chinese people think. I also saw some middle aged office men there. I really admire their attitude towards keeping learning. I couldn't eat any throat drugs or drink water during the test. I had described the city I live in for 5 times and the microphone test couldn't pass. Then I changed seat and the microphone test was successful. The resolution of the screen is so low that reading wasn't what i had been used to see. I was too slow at locating the answers. I coughed a lot during it. At that moment i really wished i wouldn't cough that much in listening and speaking part. I used up all my scratch paper after 2 listening sections ended and there came the third one… I asked for more scratch paper during the first conversation and something important was missed out. Some people were doing their speaking tests. Wow, they spoke so well! I think I had made progress in speaking. At least I did better than my first oral test in univeristy where i just got stuck. I didn't finish my answers when the time was up. I was always confident about my writing abilities. So I didn't really prepare for it. For the first writing, I wrote 225 words which was the very maximum words required. It was so hard for me to come up with nice sentences and examples... 30 minutes was a blink of an eye… My condition didn't do me a favor today. But at least I was more confident than I had supposed to be. $235 cost me a month to prepare. I didn't finish memorizing the vocabulary list. I didn't finish 49 TPOs. I didn't finish reading the materials I bought. How to spend $235 is an experience. I want to keep learning English.
