anna found it near impossible to stifle her giggles as she trudged through the blanket of snow covering the earth, mittened hands working to press the bit of it that had just been scooped up into a tightly packed sphere. the P E R F E C T snowball. sort of. truly, though, that hardly mattered; no, what the princess found to be the most crucial ( and, admittedly, most difficult ) part of her plan was staying as quiet as possible, for even a crunch of frost beneath her shoes could give her away. and so pink lips pressed together into a thin, curved smile as she neared the soon-to-be victim of her little prank. one. . . two. . . three. the snowball is thrown in the direction of the other, previously restrained laughs bubbling from her lips as she watches it soar through the air.

{ ❀ } ---- Slipping her feet out from her shoes, Rapunzel tapped a silent rhythm against the cold floor with her bare toes. She was so close to finishing her lessons for the day, and couldn't wait to make her way outside where the sun was shining brightly, the birds were singing, the flowers blooming, and her best friend was waiting for her to play a game of hide and seek. Glancing out the window every few seconds, she hardly let her tutor finish telling her what to work on before their next lesson before she was hurrying from the room and towards the large front doors.

Pascal was waiting for her, she just knew it. They had made a deal that as soon as she was finished with her princess-y duties, he would be ready for her. The only question was: where had he chosen as his first hiding place?

Hearing a rustle behind her, a confident smile spread across her face. "Aha!" she cried out, spinning around, ready to catch her reptilian friend. Only -- it wasn't Pascal who was behind her.

"Oh," she spoke again, tucking her short hair behind her ears only to have it fall back into place. "You're not a chameleon..."
